Public Employees Credit Union (PECU) was founded in 1952 to efficiently and effectively serve the financial needs of our membership. PECU has experienced many changes since its inception and has evolved into a multi-service financial institution serving a wide field of membership from the public employment sector.
What Makes Us Unique
PECU is a not-for-profit organization which means all earnings, after reserve allocations and expenses, are returned to the members in the form of attractive dividend rates, low interest rates on loans, minimal service fees, and the development of additional products and services. When you become a member of PECU, you are a part owner. The Credit Union is member owned and managed by a member elected volunteer Board of Directors.
We are a financial cooperative that places membership benefits ahead of profits. Our services are available only to members and PECU subscribes to the credit union philosophy of “people helping people".
